The L-shaped Glassell School of Art building, constructed from a series of sandblasted, precast concrete panels in a rhythm of verticals and slight angles, replaces the school’s existing, 35-year-old building. The Glassell School of Art will connect to the Kinder Building via tunnel. Two levels of parking will be provided under the Kinder Building and Glassell School of Art to provide direct covered access into the buildings.
The project is seeking LEED Silver status.
