description
PentaSafe took form in a beautiful old house in an historic Houston neighborhood. Dependent on a hip, young employee base, the CEO was reluctant to move his software development company to a corporate setting. Forced to find space that could support his rapidly increasing infrastructure, KHA was asked to design flexible office space to accommodate a rapidly increasing employee population, while maintaining the casual corporate culture and retaining a comfortable neighborhood feel. The PentaSafe management team rejected a slick, corporate aesthetic and ultimately embraced the concept of a park in the sky, where employees could work while sitting in a rocker on a deck overlooking Memorial Park and write software code, play Bocce, or have impromptu meetings.
