Flotek Industries, a Houston downhole tool and chemical company, had out-grown its space and was struggling to retain and recruit for their quickly expanding business. Tasked with creating space that expressed the objectives and goals of their forward-thinking CEO, KHA designed a corporate headquarters where everyone could feel ownership of their space. The reception area became the “living room” for the company adjacent to a 2,000 square foot patio complete with gazebo and fountain. Each floor has a café with seating for sharing a meal, as well as, ideas. The conveniently located monumental stair connects people from one floor to the other, increasing interaction among employees.
