This corporate headquarters features a contemporary glass exterior rising 19 stories above a stone base. The compact massing of the building is modulated using various glazing assemblies to break down the scale of the facades into proportions compatible with nearby structures. A dramatic full-height central atrium lobby floods the interior with natural light.

The new headquarters also includes a 600-seat cafeteria, fitness center, conference and learning center, data center, broadcasting facilities and retail spaces. The project was designed to facilitate the consolidation of some 4,000 Union Pacific employees from ten separate Omaha and St. Louis locations.
